A Religion That Mocked Its Own Messiah
After the crucifixion of Jesus, His followers grew in number and power. But so did the resistance. The Pharisees, who once debated Christ in public, went underground after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE — and what they built in its place was a new kind of scripture:
The Talmud.
Not divine revelation, but human debate.
Not a fulfillment of the Torah, but a legal fortress against Jesus and His teachings.
This article exposes how the Talmud is not neutral — but an ongoing spiritual rejection of Christ, filled with lies, slander, and dehumanization of the very one who came to bring truth.
1. What Is the Talmud?
The Talmud is a collection of rabbinic writings, composed between roughly 200–500 CE. It includes:
- The Mishnah (oral laws and rulings)
- The Gemara (commentaries and debates)
Together, they form the core of rabbinic Judaism — the spiritual descendant of the Pharisees.
Though often presented as a deep ethical or philosophical text, the Talmud also contains explicit attacks on Jesus, on His mother Mary, and on His followers.
2. Direct Talmudic Attacks on Jesus (Yeshu)
These are real quotes — many censored in modern printings, but preserved in older manuscripts and commentaries.
a. Sanhedrin 43a – Jesus was hanged for sorcery
“On the eve of Passover, Yeshu was hanged… he practiced sorcery and led Israel astray.”
The Talmud confirms Jesus was executed — but says it was justified because He used black magic and seduced Israel into heresy.
b. Sanhedrin 107b – Jesus is linked to immoral behavior
Speaks of a student (believed to be Jesus) who practices sorcery and leads the people to idolatry.
c. Gittin 57a – Jesus in Hell
“Yeshu is in hell, being boiled in excrement.”
This is not theological debate. This is mockery. And it is deeply blasphemous.
d. Shabbat 104b – Jesus as a trickster
“Jesus the Nazarene practiced magic and led people astray.”
Here, His miracles are not signs of divinity, but of demonic deception — the exact accusation the Pharisees made to His face.
e. Sanhedrin 106a – His mother Mary is defamed
She is called a “hairdresser” and accused of adultery with a Roman soldier named “Pantera.”
This was intended to counter the Virgin Birth, not with reasoned argument, but with slander.
3. The Talmud vs. the Gospels: A Spiritual Inversion

It is active blasphemy — and fits exactly the description of the Antichrist spirit:
“Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the Antichrist.”

4. Why Modern Editions Censor These Passages
After centuries of pressure from Christians — and growing awareness — modern Talmud printings often omit or disguise these passages, claiming they were:
- “Never authoritative”
- “Misunderstood”
- “Out of historical context”
But this only proves the point:
If they were righteous and true, why hide them?
Because the spirit that wrote them knew exactly what it was doing:
Rejecting the Son of God, while preserving religious authority.
Not Just Rejection — Rebellion
The Talmud is not a “neutral book of Jewish wisdom.”
It is, in part, a spiritual rebellion against Christ, written by those who survived the fall of the Temple, but refused to surrender their power.
The Pharisees lost the debate — but won the culture.
They wrote the laws. They shaped modern Judaism. And they enshrined hatred for Jesus in sacred text.
But they cannot bury the truth.
Christ rose.
